This video shows Ellie 2 weeks after having spinal surgery performed by Jason Berg of the http://www.vcaspecialtyvets.com/animal-specialty-center/in Yonkers.
Ellie had fallen down a whole flight of stairs in the middle of the night and the accident left her paralyzed in her hind legs. She is a senior dog and already had mobility issues and advanced arthritis which had made her walk in a kind of a bunny hop all the time.
In the video you can see how she is now able to use her hind legs and learn a normal gait! It is quite remarkable. I have been doing as much physical therapy as possible with her to speed up the healing process.
We are all very impressed with Ellie’s progress. Her enterprising spirit of course is a major contributing factor as well!
