Boredom is the mother of nuisance behaviors. We have established that in previous posts and even made a poster about that!
Today the weather was miserable.
So, I decided to do some games that would make Mya, Elias, Lily and Sadie like their crates even more and also make sure that the exit from the crate happens on cue only.
You can see we all had a very nice time and the dogs were able to ignore thunder storms and a crew of gardeners who were working in the house. We were really absorbed in what we were doing.
The most important part of the lesson here was to remember that the crate door opening is NOT the cue to rush out but only the verbal cue “OK!”
